Organizers of the CareerBuilder Challenge PGA Golf Tournament announced earlier today that Huey Lewis and the News will perform on January 19th as part of the 2018 CareerBuilder Challenge and the Goo Goo Dolls will perform on January 20th. Huey Lewis and the News have sold over 20 million albums worldwide, with 12 top ten singles. The Goo Goo Dolls have sold over 10 million albums in the U.S. and more than 12 million records worldwide, with 19 top ten singles.
The CareerBuilder Challenge began as the Palm Springs Classic back in 1960, with Arnold Palmer as the very first champion. The tournament has also been known as the Bob Hope Classic and Humana Challenge. The tournament is part of the PGA tour's early season "West Coast Swing." It is the only tournament on the PGA circuit that features Pro-Am play along with tournament play for the first 54 holes.
The 2018 CareerBuilder Challenge tournament, which runs from January 17th to January 21st, 2018, will feature 156 professional golfers playing at the Stadium and Jack Nicklaus Tournament Courses at PGA WEST and La Quinta Country Club. Fans can receive discounts by purchasing tickets online on the CareerBuilder Challenge website by January 14th, 2018.
