In one more sign of the crazy times in which we're living, another event moves online. The Desert Sun’s Mark Olalde writes that the organizers of Modernism Week, the bi-annual celebration of Palm Springs' mid-century architecture, design and culture, announced yesterday that the Modernism Week Fall Preview, originally scheduled for October 15-18, will not include any in-person events. Instead, organizers hope to transition the Fall Preview to a sampling of online virtual programs that will be educational, engaging and entertaining. Specific dates, times and events for these events have not yet been made public, but will be revealed on the event website, https://www.modernismweek.com/ as  plans develop.

Modernism Week 2021, the fifteenth annual installation, is currently scheduled for Feb. 11 through Feb. 21., with more than 350 events planned around the Palm Springs area.
