One way to beat the heat...the ACE Hotel and Swim Club, at 701 E. Palm Canyon Dr. in Palm Springs, will be hosting the "Dog Days of Summer Pool Party" on August 20th, from 7 pm to 10 pm. The event is a fundraiser for the Palm Desert chapter of American Cancer Society and will take place at ACE's Commune pool. A separate pool will be set up so dogs can take a dip too. There will also be on-site pet adoptions from the Palm Springs Animal Shelter. Tickets cost $25 per person prior to the event and $30 at the door.
