“Paint the Desert” Plein Air Festival | Feb. 2-4 | The Galen, 72-567 CA-111, Palm Desert

See the amazing desert landscape paintings, some painted in the studio and some painted on location or “en Plein Air”, displayed at The Galen on three weekends in this 3rd annual installment of this event. The Gardens on El Paseo Concert Series | Jan. 20-Mar. 9 - See website for schedule | The Gardens on El Paseo, 73545 El Paseo, Palm Desert

This series has brought together music and giving to unite the community for over two decades. Since the concert’s inception, The Gardens has been able to help raise more than $1 Million for those in need. February’s lineup is as follows: Feb. 3 - Jumping Jack Flash (Rolling Stones Tribute) benefiting Pegasus Therapeutic Riding, Feb. 10 - Kenny Hale (as Neil Diamond), benefiting Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert, Feb. 17 - We Belong (Pat Benatar Tribute) benefiting Friends of the Desert Mountains and Feb. 24 - John Stanley King Band, benefitting Coachella Valley Volunteers In Medicine. Wine is included in the ticket price, with two options Cabernet and Chardonnay (which can also be found at Sottovoce Cafe after the show). California Winter League Baseball Games | Jan. 25-Feb. 17 | Palm Springs Power Baseball: 1901 E. Baristo Road

The 2024 season will feature two games per day (10am & 12:30pm) 7 days per week starting January 25th going through February 17th. The championship game will be held on February 18th at 12pm. The California Winter League is the longest running professional showcase league of its kind. Since its inaugural season in 2010, the CWL has seen over 850 of its players sign professional contracts. Taste of Jalisco | Feb. 2-4 | Downtown Cathedral City

This annual celebration honors the 27-year sister city relationship between Cathedral City and Tequila, Jalisco (Mexico) through culture, cuisine, music, and fashion. The weekend includes a family-friendly carnival which has doubled in size from previous years, artisan craft vendor market, tequila tastings with a tequila tasting competition, plus authentic Mexican cuisine and a Sunday car show. Modernism Week | Feb. 15-25

Modernism Week’s annual 11-day festival will feature more than 350  events including the Palm Springs Modernism Show, CAMP (Community and Meeting Place), tours of iconic homes in more than 30 neighborhoods, and the popular Signature Home Tour on both weekends. Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival | Feb. 16-25 | Riverside County Fairgrounds, Indio

The fair started as a celebration for the end of the annual date harvest in the Coachella Valley. The event today remains true to those agricultural roots with livestock exhibits and cooking demonstrations featuring dates.
