The Coachella Valley’s big spring music festivals may be over, but music lovers shouldn’t fret. That’s because they can still enjoy live music under the stars through May at Palm Desert’s Thursday evening Spring Concerts In The Park. The shows will feature a variety of talented music acts designed to please music lovers of all ages and tastes and will be held at the Palm Desert Civic Park Amphitheater on Thursday evenings in May from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.

The concerts kick off Thursday, May 5th with Santana tribute band SantanaWays. Come see the high energy 80 chart topper band Flashback Heart Attack on May 12th. Crowd pleasing country favorites the Kelly Rae Band hit the stage May 19th. The season wraps up on May 26th with hard driving hot from Legends of Classic Rock, featuring musicians who’ve played with White Lion, Ratt, Steppenwolf, Rod Stewart, Alice Cooper, Quiet Riot, Dokken and Great White.

In addition to soaking up the sounds, concert goers can also enjoy dinner in the park. Food and beverage trucks will be available each week offering a variety of culinary offerings. Concert goers may also bring picnic baskets along with blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the shows. However, alcoholic beverages and smoking are prohibited at Civic Center Park. Family YMCA of the Desert will lead children’s games and activities prior to each show. Lastly, each show will be signed by a certified ASL interpreter. Individuals who would benefit from this service are invited to sit in a designated area near the stage.
