Here’s another chance to enjoy live music under the stars through October at Palm Desert’s Fall Concerts in the Park. The shows will feature a variety of talented music acts designed to please music lovers of all ages and tastes and will be held at the Palm Desert Civic Park Amphitheater on Thursday evenings in October from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.
The concerts kick off on October 5th with a performance by Classic Journey, a tribute to Journey’s iconic late 70s and 80s anthems and ballads, as well as hits from TOTO, REO, Jefferson Starship and Kansas to name a few. Come experience a show that is part concert and part dance party featuring Top 40 Dance, Motown, Disco, Classic Rock, Jazz and Pop music by The Mighty Untouchables on October 12th. Immerse yourself in the soulful rhythms of bossa nova when Leanna and Miguel, a vocalist and her conga sensation husband, take to the stage October 19th. Then prepare to groove to the electrifying beats of the 80s when this concert series closes on October 26th with a show by 80s Ladies. This Fall Concerts in the Park series also acts as the official launch party for Palm Desert’s 50th Anniversary as it gears up for its special celebration event on November 18th.
In addition to live music under the stars, concertgoers will find food trucks at each show offering a variety of culinary offerings. Concertgoers may also bring their own picnic baskets along with blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the shows. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are prohibited at Civic Center Park.
