
The Desert Sun’s Anna Rumer writes that as a result of her attending both weekends of Coachella earlier this year, she is not a music festival newbie. However, she was still caught off guard by a few things during the first weekend of Desert Trip. So, she has written about the 9 things that The Desert Sun’s reporters wish that everyone going to Desert Trip Weekend 2 knows:
- Parking is different than other Goldenvoice concerts
- Binoculars can make even the cheapest seats seem like VIP;Wear layers and bring a light jacket;
- Buy your t-shirts early;
- Bring a bandanna for the dust and dried grass;
- Stay until the end of Roger Waters’ set (surprise alert);
- Make sure your phone is charged and have a backup plan;
- Check out the Desert Trip Photography Experience; and
- Beware the fake disabled placards (each citation comes with fines up to $1,000).
- Avenue 49 between Hjorth Street and Monroe Street;
- Avenue 50 between Madison Street and Jackson Street;
- Hjorth Street between Avenue 49 and Avenue 50;
- Madison Street between Avenue 49 and Avenue 52; and
- Carreon Boulevard between Oasis and Arabia Street
