This Los Angeles Times article serves as a reminder that Palm Springs Modernism Week Fall Preview runs October 9th – 12th and features many of the same events that you will find at Palm Springs Modernism Week in February, but without the crowds.

For the first time, the four-day fall preview will include tours of the historic Sunnylands estate ($65) and a double-decker bus architectural tour hosted by cultural historian Charles Phoenix ($99). 

The Modernism Show and Sale, held at the Palm Springs Air Museum, will include Midcentury furniture and decorative and fine art from more than 40 dealers from around the world, including Danish Modern NoHo from Los Angeles, Object Culture and Route 66 West in Palm Springs and New York's Bridges Over Time. The show opens at 6 p.m. on Oct. 9 with an opening-night early-buying preview reception ($75) to benefit Modernism Week. Weekend show hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Oct. 10 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 11. General admission to the show is $15 and includes admission for both days.

Additional highlights of the Fall Preview include tours of the Frey House II ($55); Frank Sinatra's "Twin Palms" estate ($40); walking tours of historic neighborhoods such as the Movie Colony, Deepwell Estates and Vista Las Palmas ($35); double-decker architectural bus tours ($85) and a sunset reception at the 1958 Swan House. ($100).
