In the third piece of good news for our local travel and hospitality sectors in the last week, JetBlue announced that it will launch 24 new routes later this year, including nonstop service between Palm Springs and Fort Lauderdale. Apparently, this is part of JetBlue’s strategy of offering unique, new nonstop western U.S. destinations from Fort Lauderdale not served by any other airline and reactivating some temporarily parked aircraft. The Palm Springs-Fort Lauderdale flights will be offered twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays starting on December 17th and running through March 2021. JetBlue currently offers seasonal flights from Palm Springs to both John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York (expected to begin November 6th) and to Boston Logan International Airport (starting on December 19th.
JetBlue is New York's Hometown Airline™, and a leading carrier in Boston, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, Los Angeles (Long Beach), Orlando, and San Juan. JetBlue carries more than 35 million customers a year to 100 cities in the U.S., Caribbean, and Latin America with an average of 925 daily flights.
