2025 Native American Arts Festival Week | June 16-20 | Idyllwild Arts Academy
The week opens with Renegades of Art, an invitational exhibition curated by Pamela Peters (Diné), showcasing murals and mixed media works that highlight Indigenous resilience. The artist-led panel and reception, with Native cuisine tastings, begins June 16 at 7 p.m. at the Parks Exhibition Center. Highlights include the Michael Kabotie Lecture Series featuring poet Kinsale Drake (Diné), cosmetics entrepreneur and TV host Ruth Ann Thorn (Luiseño), and Yup’ik musician Ossie of PAMYUA. The festival also presents a screening of Indian Alley, a documentary by Peters. On June 20, the week concludes with Welcoming Home the Birds, a family-friendly gathering honoring Cahuilla and Serrano homelands.
