Palm Springs Modernism Week celebrates and fosters appreciation of midcentury architecture and design, as well as contemporary thinking in these fields, by encouraging education, preservation and sustainable modern living as represented in the greater Palm Springs area. 

Modernism Week typically takes place for 11 days in mid-February. This year, due to with the COVID-19 pandemic, Modernism Week in-person events have been rescheduled to April 8-18 (which might be a tad optimistic). In place of the usual mid-February events, Modernism Week Online Experience launches February 1, 2021. The event’s 25 programs will stream until February 28, 2021.  Previews of the event’s programs are currently available on the Modernism Week website. Albert Frey, the 1931 Aluminaire House and Palm Springs - The Story
