The 8th Annual Palm Desert Food & Wine Festival kicked off on Friday, March 23rd and runs through Sunday, March 25th in the tents just used for Fashion Week El Paseo, on the upper level parking deck at The Gardens on El Paseo (73-545 El Paseo). Come an experience cooking demonstrations and beer, wine and food tastings.

Grand Tasting: Pay one price to sample the food from more than 40 restaurants and more than 60 different beers, wines and spirits, for at least 4 hours. Premier Grand Tasting, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. costs $135; regular Grand Tasting, from noon to 4 p.m. costs $100. Desert Sun readers get a special 25 percent discount on the Sunday Grand Tasting by entering "DesertSun" in the promo code area when purchasing tickets.

Cooking Demonstrations:  Some big names participating in demos on Saturday include pastry chef Zac Young, “Top Chef” judge and author Gail Simmons, Aqua Caliente executive chef Leanne Kamekona, “MasterChef” chef Shaun O’Neale, Morgan’s in the Dessert executive chef Jay Bang, "MasterChef" champion Shaun O'Neale, “TopChef’s” Fabio Viviani and chef/owner of Venue Sushi and Sandfish Sushi & Whisky Engin Onural. Demo chefs on Sunday include: chocolatier Valerie Gordon, "Aarti Party" host Aarti Sequeira, executive chef/owner at Copley's and AC3 Andrew Copley and many others.

The Ticket Booth is located at The Gardens on El Paseo, west side upper level parking deck. Parking is available in the parking garage on San Pablo or the parking lot behind El Paseo Village. Ticket Booth & Will Call Hours of Operation:
