Desert X 2025 | Through May 11 | Various Coachella Valley locations

The exhibition reflects on the desert’s deep time evolutions reframing ideas and wilderness and exploring themes of indigenous futurism, design activism, colonial power asymmetries, the impress of humanity on the land and the role of emerging technologies in our contemporary society. Desert X consults with site owners and environmental organizations to install artworks and welcome visitors in a manner in which the exhibition leaves no trace after it closes.  See website for map. Historic B-29 Superfortress | Apr. 29-May 4 | Palm Springs Air Museum

Palm Springs Hot Rodeo | May 1-4 | Various Palm Springs locations

Presented by the Greater Palm Springs Chapter of the Golden State Gay Rodeo Association. Activities begin on Thursday with a Dance Contest and continue Friday with a Pool Party, Welcome Party, and Cowgirl Night at various Palm Springs locations. Saturday will be Dancing Under the Stars at Oscar’s. The Rodeo will be held at the Dysart Equestrian Park in Banning on Sat and Sun. For more information: www.psrodeo.org

Palm Desert Concerts In The Park Series | May 1, 8 15,22 & 29 at 7pm| Palm Desert Civic Center Park Amphitheater

The City of Palm Desert has announced that  Concerts In The Park will return in May 2025, featuring shows every Thursday evening at the Palm Desert Civic Center Park Amphitheater. Our brief Memorial service is dedicated to all of our fallen comrades, who paid the ultimate price for our freedoms. In their honor, we highlight the service with a fly-by and flower drop of over 3,000 red and white carnations from a B-25 Mitchell bomber.
