Prime Insider has just released their list of new movies and shows coming to Prime Video in March. Michael Hewitt, the former television critic for the Orange County (CA) Register and a lifelong movie buff and TV addict, starts the post out with his top 10 choices from March’s additions (four of which are Prime Original series):
· Hanna, Season 1 - March 29: This Prime Original series follows a girl with unusual abilities (played by newcomer Esme Creed-Miles) as she is chased by a relentless CIA agent. The series reunites the stars of The Killing, Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman, as Hanna's pursuer and her father.
· The Widow, Season 1 - March 1: Another Prime Original series starring Kate Beckinsale as a woman searching for the truth about her husband's apparent death in a plane crash; a search that leads her to the Congo.
· Catastrophe, Season 4 - March 15: Yet another Prime Original series starring series creators Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney as a couple who share the unsettling habit of saying whatever is on their minds. Season 4 begins with Sharon and Rob's marriage facing its toughest tests yet.
· Cold War - March 22: This film, which earned three Oscar nominations for direction, cinematography and foreign-language film, tells the story of a tempestuous romance set against the perilous political landscape of Eastern Europe in the 1950s.
· Tin Star, Season 2 - March 7: Tim Roth returns as Jim Worth, sheriff of a small town in the Canadian Rockies whose family was torn apart in the gripping first season of the Prime Original drama. In Season 2, Worth seeks forgiveness from his daughter, who has joined a small religious community.
· I Can Only Imagine - March 8: The remarkable story of Bart Millard, writer of the hit contemporary Christian song, "I Can Only Imagine," forms the basis for this inspirational film, starring J. Michael Finley, Dennis Quaid, Trace Adkins and Cloris Leachman.
· Colette - March 12: Keira Knightley stars as the early 20th century novelist and women's rights icon, Gabrielle Colette who was forced to write under her husband's name while fighting for recognition of her work and the royalties that came with it.
· Tyler Perry's Acrimony - March 12: This dark drama from writer-director Tyler Perry stars Taraji P. Henson as a wronged woman who eventually exacts her revenge.
· The Domestics - March 29: In a post-apocalyptic America, the remaining people live either as peaceful Domestics or members of bloodthirsty gangs. Two Domestics played by Kate Bosworth and Tyler Hoechlin try to make their way through the wastelands to the haven of Milwaukee.
· American Renegades - March 29: A high-energy action thriller about a team of Navy SEALs trying to salvage a hoard of Nazi gold from the bottom of a lake in Bosnia.
