Curbed Austin’s Cindy Widner takes a look at a meticulously restored and maintained midcentury modern home in, of all places Austin Texas.  Sitting on half an acre overlooking the Austin skyline and Bull Creek, the 3,597-square-foot four-bedroom, three-bathroom home, was built in 1967 with the idea of 1960’s resort living in Palm Springs and Las Vegas.

The post-and-beam structure, with soaring ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, incorporates period materials like rstoeas lava, limestone, brick, and terrazzo. The home overlooks the canyon wall of Bull Creek and features Ipe wood and glass cantilevered decks, a completely redone poo and secondary yards and patios, with a koi pond and a dramatic wall of black bamboo. The home is listed at $1.24M.
